I was tooling around the internet yesterday and came across this picture showing this salt-glazed pitcher of mine which made the cover of the December 1976 issue of Ceramics Monthly. This magazine was "the magazine" for potters at that time. It was eagerly anticipated every month and read cover to cover. There was very little literature available at that time compared to the abundance of books and periodicals now available on almost every topic imaginable regarding the ceramic arts. The piece in this picture is in the permanent collection of the Southern Highland Craft Guild who submitted the picture to Ceramics Monthly...it was a surprise to me to see it on the cover. The piece was fired my salt kiln pictured here.
